Jin Sakai Returns in Ghost of Yōtei: Most Wanted

The update

During PlayStation’s State of Play, Sucker Punch revealed that Jin Sakai, protagonist of Ghost of Tsushima, will be a playable character in Ghost of Yōtei: Most Wanted. The new roguelike mode is part of the Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition, scheduled for release on October 1, 2026.

Jin Sakai brings all four of his signature combat stances from Ghost of Tsushima to the new mode, along with his unique weapons, abilities, and special moves. He joins three other playable characters: Atsu, Oyuki, and Nagato, making for a total of four characters in Most Wanted.

Why it matters

This marks the first time Jin Sakai has returned as a playable character since his starring role in Ghost of Tsushima (2020). The Most Wanted mode offers a roguelike experience where players accept bounties that escalate in difficulty, earning perks and upgrades to build their characters.

What to watch

Players can earn Mon currency during runs to unlock new techniques and charms, which also apply to the main game and the Echoes of Sekigahara expansion. The Complete Edition upgrade is available for existing owners.
