Trump’s Queens Home Sells for Nearly $2M

President Trump's childhood home in Queens sold for $1.93 million after a $500,000 renovation.

The Update

President Trump’s childhood home in Queens has sold for $1.93 million. The Tudor-style property, located in the affluent Jamaica Estates neighborhood, was purchased by an undisclosed buyer via a contract signed in July. The seller, developer Tommy Lin, acquired the five-bedroom, three-bathroom home last year for $835,000 and spent another $500,000 on renovations.

Why It Matters

The sale price reflects the enduring financial value of the Trump brand, even for a property associated with the president’s early years. The home, originally built by Fred Trump in 1940, was previously damaged and overrun with feral cats before undergoing an eight-month interior overhaul that included a chef’s kitchen and spa-like bathrooms.

What to Watch

Observers will be watching to see if the new owner plans to use the property commercially or as a private residence. The home has a history of being listed for rent on Airbnb with themed decor, including cardboard cutouts of the president.
