Tails of Iron 2 Gets Free Fishing Expansion

The update
Developer Switchback Games has launched Blood and Brine, a free post-game expansion for Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter. The adventure moves Arlo away from the frozen North to Hardshell Brook, a coastal region. Players can complete 11 quests, battle 10 new bosses, and collect nine new armor sets. The expansion introduces a fishing mechanic where players can discover 32 aquatic creatures to stock an aquarium.
Why it matters
This update offers a new narrative path for players who have finished the main campaign. The shift from the Wastes to the coast changes the gameplay environment, introducing ship arena battles and hazards beneath the water. The inclusion of crossover armor sets inspired by other indie games adds a collectible layer to the adventure.
What to watch
Players should complete the main campaign before accessing the expansion. The story of the shipwrecked sailors Jaimie and Sam may have deeper implications as the aquarium grows. The expansion is available on PlayStation 5 and 4, as well as Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One.
