The update
Today, Blood & Brine, a free expansion for Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter, launched on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. The post-game adventure takes protagonist Arlo from the frozen North to Hardshell Brook, a coastal region featuring 11 quests, 10 new bosses, nine armor sets, original music, and a fishing system with 32 aquatic creatures to discover.
Why it matters
This substantial free content extends the game’s lifecycle and rewards dedicated players who have completed the main campaign. The expansion includes crossover armor inspired by other indie games like Blasphemous, Cult of the Lamb, and DAVE THE DIVER, featuring collaborations with other independent studios.

The expansion introduces ship arena battles and a storyline involving shipwrecked sailors Jaimie and Sam who ask for help building an aquarium.
